54èmes Journées des Actinides conference

18 – 21 March 2025

This event series provides an informal and interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of current advances on the physical and chemical properties of lanthanide- and actinide-based alloys and compounds. The conference has a broad scope, spanning topics from fundamental to applied research, including:

  • inorganic and organometallic chemistry

  • materials and nanomaterials

  • strongly correlated systems, superconductivity, and quantum criticality

  • theory and band structure

  • actinide production and handling

  • safety of the nuclear fuel cycle

  • nuclear safeguards and security

  • radiation protection

  • environment contamination, remediation, and decommissioning

The conference will start with lunch on Tuesday 18th March 2025, ending with the conference dinner on the evening of Friday 21st March 2025.

The conference will include oral presentations and a poster session. We invite all researchers to submit an abstract with their choice of presentation format. We particularly encourage graduate students and postdoctoral and early carrier researchers to participate.

Travel to Hotel

The Conference location is approximately 15-20 mins drive from Annecy centre and is easy to reach by taxi. Some shuttles between Annecy centre and the hotel will be organised for the conference attendees. Please inform the organisers of your arrival time in Annecy to allow us to coordinate transport to the hotel where possible.

Transfer between the SPCA in Grenoble and the conference hotel will be provided for the attendees of the SPCA.
